MERRY CHRISTMAS

to one and all…

I think I am an olllldddd soul at heart. I love the traditions of Christmas! I love the traditional music, old movies, baking and decorating and mostly I love to visit other people’s homes at Christmas to check out their decorations. This year we are hunkering down and going nowhere so I indulged and went a tad overboard! I thought I would share a few of our decorations – these are just some the living room decorations! Bathrooms, basement, porches and kitchen are also decorated. The decorations may have to stay up longer this year as I am hoping that with a month long lockdown numbers will decline enough that my mom and sister will be able to leave their residences and come for a visit. My sister Diana loves Christmas and decorations and lights! Fingers crossed she will be able to enjoy all of ours in a few weeks. In the meantime, they make me smile and be at peace during a Christmas season like no other. Anddddd, my cats love to grab the miniature ornies on the feather tree and bat them around the living room – every morning I search for the overnight disappearances! Another tradition… May you all have a safe and peaceful Christmas – next year’s will be so much better…

A few new pieces for show and tell:

Rochelle finished her seahorse and framed it – pattern from The Bee Skep – Designer: Lisa Prive…

I finished this one (pattern from Not Forgotten Farm) and attached it to an antique butter paddle…

Sandi’s wonderful embellished Christmas stockings..

And of course it IS the season for stockings – here are a few more by Sheila…”the one on the left has a light up necklace worked into it. And the hedgehog bristles are pieces of linen from scraps that have been unravelled hooked through the linen backing and knotted. For variation I took a marker and drew black lines across some of the scraps and J also used some bleached Scottish linen.”…

Edie finished her Deanne Fitzpatrick on line class piece and Cardinal kit which she attached to a tote bag…

Well a few banana and carrot peels later…this young man was happy…Not sure if that is his tongue or a banana peel sticking out of the side of his mouth…probably he was licking his chops!
