and now a bit of show and tell:

Susan finished her Primitive Pumpkin kit…

Alana sent this picture and some details “BABA YAGA GIVING BIRTH. The panel is 30×30”. Background was cut from a large mostly red rug that failed in its overall imagery so I collaged pieces of it into this mosaic and the wings.  I also used up alot of my jewelry beads etc. which have been languishing on my shelves and appliquéd my grandmothers’s doilies on the wings.”
Angela finished hooking Winter Skate – Shelly Atkinson design…
and in between hooking Helen finished and mounted a couple of punch needle pieces – the first is Neighbours (Karla Gerard adaptation) and the second is Spring Crow designed by yours truly…

HAPPY THANKSGIVING…

Despite these scary and uncertain times, we still have so much to be thankful for. I wish you and yours a wonderful holiday.

Sue sent me a picture of the rug she just completed – she had an antique rug which was deteriorating badly so transferred it to a new piece of linen and hooked it. I love her new and more “textured” version…

As we get ready to hunker down for the winter (which involves a million outdoor jobs – not a bad thing on these last beautiful fall days) I want to share a picture of a new pattern I will soon have in stock. Another of Lisa Ferguson’s fabulous designs. I am totally in love with this amazing pattern and should have it available in the next week or so. Something to really look forward to. It could even be made less seasonal by substituting the gifts with birch branches! I love the Hudson’s Bay jacket – I actually HAD one of those – weighed 50 pounds – or felt like it – but oh my, it kept me warrrrrmmmmm. Not sure where it went to – must have been lost to the thrift stores in a mood of decluttering but I do! still have Gord’s grandmother’s HB blankets that she received as a wedding gift – so close to 100 years old! and pristine!

You can order Lisa’s wonderful cards on her ETSY and Web sites: www.studioferguson.etsy.com
