GREEN MOUNTAIN RUG SHOW HERE WE COME…

Tomorrow we are off to the wonderful rug show in Vermont. So very excited to see all the wonderful rugs that will be on display and to visit the vendors. I hope Gord can take some pictures of the rugs to share.

In the meantime, Fleece Festival is behind us for another year. It was a wonderful show with tons of vendors and over 2500 visitors! Busy busy busy right up to the last minute! Here are a couple of pictures Gord managed to snap before things got crazy.

I am listing a few new Karla Gerard patterns in my online store – wonderful patterns to work on for spring.

OFF TO FLEECE FESTIVAL…

Well, the last few days have CERTAINLY not been fall-like – hot and humid! more like July than mid October. Thank goodness tomorrow things get a tad more normal because PACKING THE CAR IN THIS WEATHER is not going to happen. If the dock were still in the water I would be swimming! 🙂

So tomorrow we leave for Fleece Festival in Woodstock Ontario. This wonderful one day show takes place Saturday from 9 – 5. Yarns, needle felting supplies, spinning and weaving supplies, many rughooking vendors etc. It is a wonderful festival sure to delight all lovers of fibre!

Then, home for a day before we leave for the rug show in Burlington, Vermont where instead of vending I will be buying!

So, a few really exciting days to come. And hopefully I can put away my flip flops and wear my nice fur-lined shoes again.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING…and Stitch by Stitch

Although I did not cook a bird (or much else for that matter) I do count my blessings and am thankful for family, friends, home and HOOKING! and YES I did actually hook something this week – I have a finishing class in 2 weeks and needed a few smaller projects that I could use to demonstrate different finishing techniques so once they are allllll finished I will post a few pictures.

In the meantime, Marjorie sent me a picture of her completed sunflowers from our Fibrefest workshop. I think people went crazy doing sunflowers – they are such fun and so simple and so pretty – each one different from the other.

Tomorrow I will be at Stitch by Stitch in Kingston from 10 – 12.  Hope to see some of you there…
