Two wonderfully cool, non-humid days! come and gone! and now we are back to hot and humid tropical days. And it is September 1!!! By now things should have cooled off and become more fall like! I should be hooking on the dock! Fall scenes! with a jacket and socks on! 🙂 . Instead I may be swimming for the next few days – well if it does not rain. Oh, whine whine whine. Fall will come soon enough but in the meantime I did manage to get out on the porch and hook for the last 2 days. Decided I needed a little project that incorporated something fall-like – so I started, and finished, this little sunflower piece which has now been added to my online store as a beginner kit. I hooked it in 2 half day sessions so you can tell it is not huge but it was fun and got my hooking juices flowing again. So company arriving tomorrow for 2 days and maybe Porkzilla who has been renamed Porkalicious because she has such a sweet face will get some more quills!
So, 2 new kits in my online store = 2 Sunflowers and a House (adaptation of a Karla Gerard) – colours are actually brighter and more fall like in the real version and in the kit:
I know others have been hooking a lot more than I have – must say it felt soooooo good to have my hook back in hand.
Linda sent me a picture of her most recent finished rug:
