Was a great day. Thank you to all who braved the heat and humidity to attend. In the end we had 76 courageous souls who came and made our day such fun. The AC died the day before but we were able to get our local repairman in to set it at a fixed temperature and noone melted (well not toooo badly) and we had ceiling and floor fans which moved the somewhat warm air around ๐Ÿ™‚ . Everyone left with a door prize donated by our wonderful suppliers and many of our very talented friends. The 50/50 went to great new heights thanks to Gord and Louise selling tickets at hmmmmm, questionable rates of 10.00 for 1 or 3 for 5.00! That raised a few eyebrows ๐Ÿ™‚ but made the raffle soooo exciting! Plus we had 5 lovely items in our silent auction so all in all we had a fun day and raised a good amount of money for two local charitable organizations who do so much for the community. Thank you all!

This weekend I am vending at the Prince Edward County Quilt Show in Wellington ON. Should be a cooler weekend yeahhhhhh (although I must say I am not going to complain too much as wow the lake is soooo warm I actually have to search for cool spots!). Unfortunately I will be missing a wonderful garden show hosted by my sister, Betty and Sheila Sim who is famous for her beautiful gardens – guess she doesn’t have the deer problem! My sister collects and makes garden art and her place is such fun. Here is a flyer with more info for those close enough to attend…

and a new punch needle pattern(kit) available called “Skye” by Helen Radford:

  1. Loretta, you and Carol and all the volunteers did an amazing job organizing the hookin. It was wonderful – and despite the heat, a lot of fun! All of your background work – great snacks, lots of coffee and cold water, fans and having the a/c working speaks loads about your organization and thought. What a relaxed, friendly and humorous day! The only disappointment was that the OPP werenโ€™t there to protect us ๐Ÿ˜. Thanks so much!

  2. Hi Loretta,

I would like to purchase the ‘Skye’ kit by Helen Radford, but don’t see it on your website. Is it still available?
