It appears my workshop at Fibrefest in miniature Punch Needle is showing as full – which is, in fact, not the case! So, if you are interested in signing up, until this glitch is corrected on the website, please email me and as soon as I know that things are corrected I will let you know. Ahhhhh technology is great when it works!!! but not so great when it doesn’t.
A number of years ago I posted pictures of some rugs based on the artwork of Jan Beach – these were called Pfunny Sheep designs. The license to the designs for rughooking was owned by Linda Low from Newfoundland. Sadly, Linda passed away in 2015 – a terrible loss to those of us who knew her even if only through the internet. Recently, one of my blog readers asked about where she could find these fabulous patterns and after a bit of Sherlocking I have found that the license is now owned by Jan Giraldi of Ontario and you can find these wonderful patterns on her Facebook page LanaEwe Rug Hooking Studio. I am happy that these are still available as they are such fun and Linda would be so pleased to know that her dream has been carried on by Jan. Here is a sample of one of the wonderful rug patterns…
OKAY, SO ENOUGH WITH THE RAIN. You know we have had enough rain when the lake levels are soooooo high that you find fish ON the dock rather than swimming below the dock – in fact, at the moment there IS NO BELOW THE DOCK. The water bubbles up the carpet on the dock and washes over the top making schlurppy bubbly sounds! Not so good after 3 cups of coffee!!!! 🙂
Yesterday was the Women’s Institute craft show in Prince Edward County (Picton to be more precise). It was a hot, humid, sticky day but that did not stop folks from coming to the show – well until about 2 by which point it was a bit of a stinker! But I got to meet up again with people I have not seen since LAST years show. Did I venture out in the heat to visit other buildings and vendors – nope! sat in my booth for most of the day hooking and punching and talking with a fan blowing warm air on my feet and one wayyyyy above my head hmmm blowing warm air wayyyyy above my head 🙂 But Gord did manage to get a few pictures of some of the vendors in our building including another hooker!!! Katherine! with her lovely hooked mats and rugs.
