I thought I would mention again about the upcoming Rideau Valley Boots and Baskets 35th anniversary Hookin to be held on June 4 in the beautiful village of Merickville from 10 – 3. This event is open to everyone including non guild members – all you need is your hooking and your enthusiasm and your mug and lunch!!! Drinks and snacks will be provided. Cost is 5.00. There will be a rug display, door prizes and beautiful weather! So we hope to see a lot of familiar and new faces joining us to celebrate 35 years of our branch. The community centre is located at 106 Read Street in Merickville. Please contact Maureen to register at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Last Saturday I spent the day at the Olde Forge Hookin in Ottawa. What a wonderful day – 85+ people joined together to hook, eat, chat, eat, spend, eat (there was a LOT of good food!) and be inspired by some pretty amazing rugs. Since there was a REAL photographer for the day I decided not to take pix however, they have now been posted on the website and you can view them at http://www.ottawarughooking.com/archive.php. Have fun!!!
