Last Saturday I was invited along with a few others to vend at the Olde Forge annual hookin in Ottawa. What a great day it was – close to 90 hookers along with rugs to inspire all of us. And of course goodies!!! and prizes!!! Pictures will soon be posted on the Olde Forge website so keep checking – in the meantime, if you have not visited the website you can view pictures from previous classes and hookins and various events hosted by the Olde Forge.
Tomorrow is our Rideau Valley Boots and Baskets annual auction. In the past we have had substantial donations from hookers who have decided to retire or hmmm like me feel they have WAYYYYY TOOO MUCH STUFF! Not sure what we will have this year but I am sure there will be lots of great stuff to bid on. So if you can come we are open around 10:30. Bring your mug and lunch although I do know we will be serving some snacks. Last year the majority of the funds that were raised was donated to 3 very worthy causes – so bring your cash and cheque books and come and have some fun.
And now for a picture of Diane’s punch needle version of Joni Black’s A Winter’s Day. Diane decided to adapt the little dog on the left to represent her Bichon Daisy! This is soooooo cute! It will be mounted on a piece of wool and then attached to the frame.
