So, as I thought, I did not accomplish as much as I had hoped to yesterday! But I did finish mittens, purse and tongues on the little hit and miss oval mat. They actually ended being up rather fun to do. And I lovvvvvee the look.
Today I leave for Fiberfest in Almonte. Will stay with my friend Donna (the carver and hooker) and hook in the evening and schmooze. I hope to get a photo of Donna’s work in progress from our Jule Marie class and will post it next week. So, another great weekend ahead. Had to plan a project for the weekend so I decided to do another Karla Gerard pattern(s) but as a long runner this time. I took two similar patterns and drew them on backing meeting in the center. This should be fun to hook but this time I may? do it in my more dirty colours just to try them out on one of Karla’s patterns. I now carry a number of Karla’s patterns and have listed them in the online store. These are paper patterns and can be enlarged (with Karla’s permission!) to whatever size you wish for hooking but imagine also if you shrank them and used them for punch needle. How exciting!
I have one spot left in the primitive dye class scheduled for September 22. Please see Events for details and contact me if you are interested in the class.
