Thought I would post the last piece from the mosaic class – Betty with her finished flowers:
Karen’s hookin yesterday was wonderful. Woke up and stepped outside to test the weather at 5 a.m. and it was like breathing soup – the air was so heavy with moisture – and fogggggyyyy. Surely noone would willingly subject themselves to the heat and humidity that was predicted by the weather boys. But we left at 7 and when we arrived it was amazingly cool and breezy and lovely. I am sure there were more than 60 attendees. People hooked and chatted and picked blueberries and enjoyed Karen’s hospitality and lovely setting. Three vendors – Karen of course in her wonderful studio shop full of amazing spotdyes, Rosehaven Farm with great yarns and hooker hanks and myself (lots of textures!) – so a great source of supplies (we all need bigger stashes!!!). Here are a few pix of the day:

How idyllic!
Beautiful rugs in progress.
Thanks for sharing and being such a dedicated BLOGGER!
I’ve always been interested in rug hooking and have often wondered what tools I would need to get started. What do I use as a background and where would I pick up any patterns??? Thanks!
These rugs in progress are going to be show stoppers for sure. Love that you share these with us.
